Why we use AI for mockups, and never for motifs

Full transparency: AI exists in our workflow. It helps us mock up product photography, test layouts, and draft copy at midnight. What it never does is draw a motif.

The line we drew

Every artwork that appears on a KARM 108 garment is made by a named artisan, on paper or cloth, with their own hands. It is then photographed, licensed and adapted for printing, with the artist approving the final placement.

Tools should carry the work to the artist, not carry the artist out of the work.

We think this is what honest AI adoption looks like for a craft brand: ruthless efficiency in the back office, zero shortcuts on the canvas. The drop stays limited to 108 because human hands are gloriously, deliberately slow.
