Before the first light, before the golden egg glows, there is Rātri - where the deep sleep of creation rests inside. Not empty. Loaded. Everything that’s about to happen, still folded in the dark, waiting for its turn.
That’s what the lotus buds are. Not open flowers - buds. Cream thread on black, embroidered by karigars in India, each one closed tight around a bloom that hasn’t been given permission yet.
